Reel Warranty

Fly Reel Warranty Information

At Allen Fly Fishing, we build reels that are designed to last—and we proudly stand behind them. Every Allen reel is backed by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, giving you peace of mind each time you’re on the water. For everything else, our repair and service program has you covered.

Lifetime Warranty

All Allen fly reels come with a lifetime warranty for the original owner. This covers any defects in materials or workmanship that may arise under normal use. If your reel experiences a manufacturing fault, we’ll repair or replace it to keep you fishing.

What’s Not Covered

While our warranty covers a lot, it does not extend to the following:

  • Accidental damage — Dropping your reel, stepping on it, or striking it against hard surfaces can cause damage not related to manufacturing. These types of incidents are not covered under warranty.

  • Normal wear and tear — Bearings, springs, and other moving parts can wear out over time with regular use. These components fall under routine maintenance and are not covered under warranty.

  • Cosmetic damage — Scratches, dings, and other visual blemishes that do not affect performance are considered part of normal use.

  • Saltwater corrosion — Saltwater is tough on equipment. Damage from saltwater exposure is not covered unless the reel has been properly maintained. We strongly recommend rinsing your gear with fresh water and performing regular lubrication after saltwater use.

  • Neglect or improper maintenance — Failing to clean, lubricate, or store your reel properly can lead to issues not covered by warranty. Reels should be maintained regularly to ensure peak performance and longevity.

Closeout and Clearance Reels

All clearance and closeout reels include a 30-day warranty from the date of purchase.
