Fly Tying Tutorial: Two Bit Hooker
Apr 27, 2014
Thanks Tim for another great tutorial!
"I just finished a recent pattern for YouTube featuring Allen Fly Fishing
hooks. The pattern is one by Charlie Craven, known as the "Two Bit
Hooker" nymph. It's a heavy pattern that utilizes two tungsten beads,
meaning it gets to the bottom quickly. This fly represent mayfly
nymphs, and is a great one to tie and have in fly boxes.
The fly features a W501BL hook from Allen Fly Fishing. The hook
meets the needs of this pattern, plus also is 2x heavy, helping to keep
the fly on the bottom of the water column." - Tim
